Yes, there is off road parking on a private driveway
Sessions are available on the following days:
I have sessions available both during the day and evenings. We can discuss availability and time to suit you within your consultation session.
Due to limited spaces outside of school hours (evening and weekends) I am unable to hold session spaces for longer than 2 weeks.
Please ensure you or your child are dressed appropriately for sessions, especially if we are working outside. It's best to be prepared for all weathers. This can include a warm coat and wellies/ walking boots.
For regular counselling sessions, we will be inside. The Therapy room is fully insulated, with heating and a blanket should you need it. Please wear what you feel comfortable in, as long as it appropriate for what we are doing.
If you are unable to attend your session, please let me know as soon as possible. You will find my cancellation policy on our working agreement and booking confirmations.
Not at all. It's so important that you find a Counsellor you feel comfortable with. That's why I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation. You can ask me any questions you may have and I can explain more about how I work. If you feel that you don't want to continue, I completely understand and no explanation is necessary.
If you want to continue with the sessions, we will start with a 'starter session' which will allow young clients to come out and meet me, going through the contracting, confidentiality, safeguarding aspects and allowing opportunity to ask questions along with get to know one and other before getting started. This will be a regular hour long 1:1 session.
Animal handling assessment helps to gauge client and animal compatibility when working together. By having a consultation session, this allows me to see how young clients interact with the dog, gain an understanding of how they feel being around him, as well as monitoring potential stress levels in the dog. This is a great opportunity for them to ask any questions you may have and to see if what I offer feels right for them. My aim is for this to be a safe and enjoyable experience for all involved, which is why compatibility is key.
After your telephone consultation, you will receive a referral form to complete. If suitable this will be followed by a face to face 30 minute consultation session at non-refundable fee of £40. It’s really important that young clients feel comfortable and safe when here for your sessions. The same goes for the animals that we interact with.
Please Note: It is down to my discretion, as to whether Animal Assisted Therapy is suitable
for each individual client. Animal welfare, well being and client safety is my upmost priority.
Please feel free to contact me to arrange a consultation session
